Founded by Douglas M. Cluff, M.D. in October 2017, TLC Family Health is now one of over 2350 Direct Primary Care (DPC) practices nationwide (up from just 140 in 2014), and we strongly believe it is the future of Primary Care. Kicking insurance out of primary care opens up a whole new world, as summarized by our Explainer Video above. TLC Family Health is Primary Care the way it should be, but until now couldn’t be because of insurance.
DPC can be a great blessing for the self- or uninsured, in addition to business owners who cannot afford to provide insurance for their employees. However, most of our patients have insurance, but have either realized that their deductibles far exceed our yearly membership fee (and they get a much bigger bang for their buck by joining our practice) or they really enjoy all the perks! Also, HSAs may be used for the monthly membership fees.
At TLC Family Health, one of our primary goals is to help you achieve health through lifestyle. In fact, “TLC” stands for “Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes” – especially Nutrition and Weight Management (our specialties), Fitness, Stress Management, and Sleeping Well. how it works:
At TLC Family Health, you receive all labs, tests, and injections at cost (usually >90% off usual prices, e.g., a cholesterol panel is $3.25; a strep test is $1.25; a B12 shot is $2.94), which removes any incentive to add unnecessary tests or services! This drastically reduces overall costs, at the same time improving the patient-physician relationship and quality of care.
We have THREE MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS (see PRICING for a detailed comparison):
Gold (90% off visits and communications, along with other premium discounts)
Silver (50% off visits and communications, along with other discounts; $10 administration fee for labs, tests, and injections)
À la Carte (full price; also $10 administration fee for labs, etc. – this option is only available if you have a separate Primary Care Physician/PCP; a “PCP Companion” plan)
Note: ONE-TIME VISITS are also available
